How to Create Spherical Families in Revit
Typically, we use volumes to create spheres. When adding grooves to a sphere, it’s often easier to work with a hollow layout within the family. So, how exactly can you create a sphere in a family? Follow these steps:
- Switch to the elevation view and select the rotate tool.
- Draw a semicircle.
- Select an axis line, which will act as the rotation centerline of the face.
- Click OK to complete the operation.
