How to Quickly Create Curtain Walls with Real Profile Sections in Revit
Start by creating a new volume. Then, copy the volume outline and move it away separately, as illustrated in the image below:
Next, generate two separate volumes and divide each into grids, as shown in the following figure:
Load the completed glass family and sub frame family into your project. Select the panels for the two upper volumes accordingly. The final result will look like this:
Because both the glass and sub frame families come with predefined parameters, their dimensions will be incorporated automatically when loaded into the project from the volume. If you are working with both glass and stone curtain walls, load an additional completed stone family. Hold down the TAB key and place it in the desired location, as demonstrated in the image below:
Using volumes to create curtain walls offers convenient modification options. For instance, you can easily change the grid layout directly within the volume.
