How to Set Background Color in Navisworks

Navisworks is widely recognized as a powerful 3D model integration software in the BIM field. It enables users to monitor model progress and simulate construction workflows by creating object animations. Since working with models often requires extended periods, adjusting the background color for better visibility and comfort is essential.

1) Launch Navisworks and view the initial interface:

2) At this stage, the scene statistics display an empty scene:

3) Right-click anywhere in the scene to open a temporary dialog box, which appears as shown below:

4) Open a model to see updated scene statistics, as illustrated here:

5) Right-click again, and the temporary dialog box will appear as follows:

6) Click on Background to open the Background Settings dialog box:

7) In the dialog, set the mode to Gradient:

8) Edit the Top/Bottom Color by selecting colors that suit your preference, then click to apply and preview the changes:

9) Once satisfied, click Confirm to finalize your background settings. The result will look like this:
