How to Use Custom Fonts for Detail Tables in Revit

Implementing Custom Detail Table Fonts in Revit

In the Details Table Properties dialog box, under the Appearance section, you can view the gridlines of the detail table. Here, you have the option to select and modify the table style and text style. The text style can be customized according to your needs.

1. To add a Detail Table Font, switch to any planar view. Then, go to the Annotation tab and select the Text command. Open the Type Properties dialog box and click the “Duplicate” button. This will create a new text type called Detail Table Font. You can then adjust the text color, line type, size, and other parameters before clicking OK. The process is illustrated in the image below.

2. Next, return to the Details Table Properties dialog box under the Appearance section. Here, you can select the font style you just created for your detail table, as shown in the figure.

Summary: By following the steps above, you can effectively modify detail table fonts in Revit. Additionally, this process helps you understand how to adjust detail table appearance attributes, which streamlines your modeling workflow.
