Guiyang, June 4th (Xinhua) — On the morning of June 3rd, during the event themed “Implementing the Green Building Action and Promoting Green Development in Urban and Rural Areas,” the First China Guizhou International Green Building and Prefabricated Building Technology and Product Expo took place in Guizhou. At the expo, two leading companies in the industry, Zhongtian Urban Investment Group Co., Ltd. and China Construction Technology Co., Ltd., signed a strategic framework cooperation agreement to vigorously promote prefabricated buildings.
According to the agreement, both parties plan to complete 2 million square meters of prefabricated buildings over the next three years, with a cooperation value of approximately 10 billion yuan. The project will incorporate advanced technologies such as green buildings, passive buildings, ultra-low energy buildings, and intelligent buildings, aiming to lead the future development of prefabricated construction in Guizhou.
The cooperation model involves China Construction Technology Company adopting the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) “five-in-one” approach. This includes design standardization, factory production, on-site assembly, integrated decoration, and management information engineering general contracting. They will undertake projects under Zhongtian Urban Investment Group, with technical standards requiring a prefabrication rate of no less than 50%. Residential projects will achieve over 50% prefabrication, while public buildings will reach 100% prefabrication.
On June 3rd, at the Green Expo, Zhongtian Urban Investment Group and China Construction Technology Co., Ltd. signed the strategic cooperation agreement on site.

Luo Yuping, Chairman of Zhongtian Urban Investment Group, emphasized that Guizhou is currently entering a new phase of accelerated industrialization and urbanization. The prefabricated building industry is still in its early stages in Guizhou, and the development of prefabricated buildings is essential for upgrading construction industrialization. With expanded cooperation, the prefabricated building sector in Guizhou is expected to experience significant growth.
On February 6, 2016, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council issued the “Several Opinions on Further Strengthening the Management of Urban Planning, Construction, and Management,” which set the goal of achieving a 30% proportion of prefabricated buildings in new construction within ten years.
Prefabricated building technology is a key focus of this expo, which promotes the adoption of prefabricated buildings in Guizhou. This approach will effectively improve building quality, enhance residential comfort, shorten construction periods, and advance energy conservation, emission reduction, resource efficiency, and green, low-carbon development within the construction industry.
This year’s expo spans 15,000 square meters and features 200 participating companies from both inside and outside Guizhou, as well as international exhibitors. The event covers three main themes: green building, prefabricated building, and green building materials. Exhibits include green building projects, prefabricated building technologies and products, green building materials and technologies, energy-saving doors, windows, curtain walls, steel structure technologies and equipment, high-performance concrete, high-strength steel processing, renewable energy applications, stone products and technical equipment, green building planning and design consulting, among 16 other categories.
