How to Check if Pipelines Meet Net Height Requirements in Revit
After thoroughly optimizing your pipelines, it’s important to verify whether they comply with the net height requirements. One effective method is to use color schemes for visualizing the net height of pipelines. Let’s take air ducts as an example.
1. In the plan view properties bar, locate the System Color Scheme option and click Edit, as shown in the image below.
2. Create a new scheme and name it Duct Color Filling – Elevation. In the scheme definition, select the Color tab and choose Bottom Elevation. Then, click By Scope to set the elevation ranges and corresponding colors according to your requirements. For this example, the net height requirement is 3000 mm, and the beam bottom is at 3600 mm, as illustrated below.
3. In this example, ducts that meet the net height requirement are displayed in purple. Those below the net height requirement appear in yellow, while ducts above the beam bottom are shown in red, as demonstrated in the figure.
Explanation: By assigning different colors to pipes based on their elevation, you can easily distinguish between various pipe systems. This approach simplifies the process of checking net height compliance across different systems and aids in accurate modeling.
