How to Create Building Wall Decorative Strips in Revit
There are several methods to create decorative strips for building walls. Here, we will explain a straightforward approach to designing wall decorative strips.
First, open Revit and create a metric profile family based on your project requirements.
After opening the profile family, start by adding reference lines to define the shape of the profile. Select the reference plane for editing, then use the Pick Line command. Adjust the offset to 400mm and set it relative to the cross reference plane.
Next, add parametric annotations to control the dimensions dynamically.
Proceed to edit the profile lines accordingly. The final design is illustrated in the image below.
Save this family file. Then, create a new building template and draw enclosed walls as shown in the accompanying picture.
Load the saved profile family into your project. Select a wall type for editing, and add the decorative strip to the wall.
This process successfully adds the decorative strip to your wall.
