Revit Advanced Quick Access Toolbar
The Quick Access Toolbar comes with a set of default tools, but you can customize it to display the tools you use most frequently.
Mobile Quick Access Toolbar
The Quick Access Toolbar can be positioned either above or below the ribbon. To change its location, click on the Quick Access Toolbar, select Customize Quick Access Toolbar, then from the dropdown list, choose Display Below the Ribbon or Display Above the Ribbon.
Adding Tools to the Quick Access Toolbar
Navigate through the ribbon to find the tools you want to add. Right-click on the desired tool and select Add to Quick Access Toolbar.
Note: Some tools located in contextual tabs cannot be added to the Quick Access Toolbar.
If a default tool has been removed from the Quick Access Toolbar, you can restore it by clicking Customize Quick Access Toolbar, opening the dropdown list, and selecting the tools you wish to add back.
Customizing the Quick Access Toolbar
To quickly modify the Quick Access Toolbar, right-click any tool on the toolbar and choose one of the following options:
- Remove from Quick Access Toolbar: Deletes the selected tool.
- Add delimiter: Adds a separator line to the right of the selected tool.
For more advanced customization, click the dropdown arrow on the Quick Access Toolbar and select Customize Quick Access Toolbar. In this dialog box, you can:
- Rearrange tools: Select a tool in the list and click Move Up or Move Down to change its position.
- Add a dividing line: Choose a tool to appear above the divider (on the left), then click Add delimiter.
- Remove tools or separators: Select the tool or separator line and click Delete.
