How to Array Bolts and Control Their Quantity in a Revit Family
1. Select the bolt and click on the Array tool.
2. Click on the radius with the left mouse button, check the boxes for Group and Associate, then click on the last bolt in the array.
3. Click the left mouse button on the center point of the bolt, then drag it to the intersection of the reference lines to confirm the placement.
4. Click the left mouse button near the closest point on the horizontal line, enter an angle of 360 degrees (a full circle), and press Enter on your keyboard to complete the array.
5. Select the bolt again — a circular line will appear automatically. Click once on it, then click on the label in the upper left corner. Finally, choose Add Parameters. In the parameter properties window, enter Quantity as the parameter name and click OK.
6. For the final step, let’s test it. Follow the instructions shown in the image below: go to Family Types, where the Family Type dialog will open automatically. Enter the desired quantity using Arabic numerals, for example, 10. That’s it!
