Using Browser Organization in Revit
If you want to change how views are sorted in the Project Browser, such as sorting them by elevation, you need to use the Browser Organization tool. To access it, go to View → User Interface → Browser Organization.
By default, the Revit browser organization is set to All. To customize the sorting method, you can create a new organization scheme that sorts by elevation. Follow the steps shown in the image below, and the Project Browser will display views sorted by elevation.
Start by clicking on Browser Organization to create a new organization and name it, for example, “Elevation.” Choose the group sorting option, with grouping criteria set to Family and Type, and sort by the relevant elevation parameter. The grouping method should be set to View Name, which you can arrange in either ascending or descending order.
After confirming your settings, select the newly created browser organization named “Elevation.” You will then see that the views in the Project Browser are sorted by elevation in the order you specified.
