Business teams must learn how to leverage BIM effectively to boost sales efforts. While deep technical knowledge is unnecessary, a solid understanding of BIM’s capabilities is essential. Clients should be informed about the unique services BIM can offer—services that were difficult or impossible during the CAD era.

Clients should have confidence in BIM and be open to adopting it, but they must also be wary of overhyped expectations. A common pitfall is promising clients that BIM can solve every problem, overlooking technical limitations or cost implications. This can make BIM services more of a burden than a benefit for the company.

Importing BIM is a gradual process that requires time, case studies, and continuous investment of resources. Immediate returns are unlikely.
