Challenges of Configuring Sunlight Paths in Revit

How to Set the Sunlight Path in Revit

When analyzing building orientation and shadows in architecture, you may sometimes see only the shadows without the actual sunlight path. To achieve more accurate simulations, you can configure the sunlight path in Revit.

Follow these steps to set up the sunlight path:

  1. Open the Sunlight Path feature.
  2. Click on Sun Settings.
  3. Select the type of simulation analysis you want to perform.
  4. Set parameters such as Location, Date, and Time.
  5. You can also directly drag and drop the sun in the 3D view to simulate and analyze sunlight effects in a flexible and intuitive way.
