How to Fix Grayed-Out Connections Between Revit Fittings and Elbows

How to Fix Revit Pipe Fittings "Bend" Connections Appearing Grayed Out

When working with pipes in Revit, beginners might notice that pipe fittings appear grayed out in the plan view (see Figure 1). However, in the 3D view (see Figure 2), these fittings are fully visible and selectable. Let’s explore how to resolve this issue.

This issue is related to the view range settings. To fix it, adjust the offset of the cut plane within the view range. The cut plane offset should be equal to or greater than the offset of the pipes (refer to Figure 3). Once adjusted correctly, the fittings will display properly (see Figure 4).
