Creating a Leaf-Shaped Inclined Wall in Revit

Question: When combining curved walls—one perpendicular to the ground and another gradually twisting and inclined—will the fusion result in both walls losing their perpendicular orientation to the ground?

Solution:

To achieve this, draw using two solid volumes: one extended solid volume and one solid volume for fusion. Then, trim the excess parts with a hollow volume, as illustrated in Figure 1.

Note: This method has a drawback—the junction between the walls is not perfectly seamless.

Steps:

  1. Select the internal building volume and use the Fusion command.
  2. Draw the upper and lower section profiles to complete the volume modeling.
  3. Once the volume model is complete, apply the desired wall types to the volume by using the Face Wall tool, as shown in Figure 2.
