Importing CAD Files into Revit Without the Need for Additional Alignment

CAD Import into Revit Requires No Additional Alignment

1. Use the filter: “Venue — Measurement Point” to display the floor plan with a red coordinate marker at 0,0,0.

2. Open the CAD file, disable “Dynamic Input,” and move the intersection of axis A and axis 1 to coordinate 0,0,0.

3. Link the CAD drawings by selecting “Origin to Origin” to align them automatically.

Once the CAD drawings are linked, they will automatically align to the intersection point of axis A and axis 1.
