Establishing Inclined Walls in Revit
When working with Revit, we often encounter various types of walls in our models.
Irregularly shaped walls are fairly easy to create—simply edit the wall’s outline.
However, sloping walls can be more challenging and sometimes cause headaches.
In fact, I initially overlooked a very powerful feature in Revit software: Pick Up Surface.
To use this feature, you first need a face to reference. I usually find this surface by creating an internal building volume.
Once you have identified the face, simply use the Pick Up Surface command. Revit will generate the wall based on the contour of the selected face.
If you need to make changes to the wall, edit the volume again, select the wall, and then click Face Update. This will update the wall accordingly.
