Quickly Adjusting Standard Layer Elevation in Revit: A Step-by-Step Guide

How to Quickly Adjust the Standard Layer Elevation in Revit

In Revit Design

Sometimes, it becomes necessary to modify the floor height of standard layers. When dealing with numerous layers, adjusting them one by one can be very time-consuming. So, how can you quickly update the floor height for all standard layers at once?

Here’s a step-by-step approach:

  1. First, lock the lowest elevation.
  2. Next, label all elevations consecutively.
  3. Select any elevation, then change the spacing between it and the other grids to 4000.
  4. Once the modification is complete, select the dimension annotation and lock the 4000 spacing.
  5. Then, click on the evenly split annotation symbol.
  6. All elevation spacings will now be updated accordingly.

This method works well for making adjustments later in the design process. If the standard floor height is known from the start, you can simply use the array tool to set it.
