How to Quickly Process Top Rail Shapes in Revit
When working with Revit software, you may need to edit railings and handrails for accessible ramps during your project. The following steps illustrate how to efficiently modify the top rail shapes, as shown in the image below:
1. Draw a section of the railing in the plan view, then switch to the 3D view.
2. Select the top railing and click the Edit the Railing command.
3. Click on the ViewCube to adjust the view, then select the Edit Path command.
4. Choose the Straight Line drawing method and define the desired shape.
5. Click on Edit the Railing Connection. When you move the mouse over the path intersections, a square will appear. Clicking the square will change it to a cross.
There are three ways to edit railing connections, depending on the type:
- Diagonal connection
- Rounded corners
- Other connection types
Select the appropriate command and adjust the shape accordingly, using rounded corners or arcs as needed.
