Challenges of Using Embedded Detail Tables in Revit

The Issue of Embedded Detail Tables in Revit

In Revit, embedded schedules can only be created when generating schedules for rooms, spaces, duct systems, piping systems, or circuits. These embedded schedules display detailed information about the components within these systems. Follow the steps below to create and display an embedded detail table:

1. First, create a detailed schedule, such as a duct system schedule, with the necessary field settings.

2. Next, go to the “Embedded Details Table” tab and select “Filter List”. Then, check the option for Mechanical and choose a category, for example, duct.

3. After that, click on the “Internal Line Details Table” tab. Under “Embedded Detail Table Attributes (P)”, click the button to open the details table properties dialog box. Select the desired fields, then click OK.

4. Finally, click OK repeatedly to close all dialog boxes. You will see the detailed table displayed as shown in the figure below, where the embedded detail table presents the dimensions and lengths within the duct system.
