How to Accurately Simulate Construction Time to the Hour in Navisworks
When using Navisworks, construction simulations are typically run on a daily basis, as illustrated below.
However, there are cases where hourly or even more precise simulations are required. Navisworks is fully capable of meeting these needs. The process is quite straightforward and can be configured within the Options menu.
1. Open the Options Editor and expand the Tools section by clicking the plus sign next to it. Then, select TimeLiner. On the right-hand side, you will find settings for the construction simulation time. By enabling the Display time option, the exact time will be shown in the TimeLiner panel.
2. Once this is set, you can specify the desired time. Within TimeLiner, adjust the precise simulation time by dragging the slider on the Gantt chart, as demonstrated in the image below.
3. This allows you to set the simulation time accurately down to the minute.
