Fusion of Revit Standard Model Families: Editing Vertices
After creating the fusion, select the shape and click the “Mode” button on the panel. Then choose either “Edit Top” or “Edit Bottom”. Continue by clicking “Mode” again on the panel, then select “Edit Vertex” to enter the Edit Vertex tab.
Within the Revit software interface, you will notice a blue open remote control handle. This serves as a toggle switch for adding or removing vertex connections.
Click the handle to switch modes. Editing vertex connections allows you to control the amount of distortion in the fusion body. To display vertices on another fusion sketch, simply click on the currently unselected bottom or top control space.
When you click on a blue open remote control handle, the line changes to a solid connecting line. A filled blue control handle appears on this connecting line. Clicking the solid handle will remove the connection, turning the line back into a dashed line with a blue open dot handle. Note that when interacting with the control handle, some edges may disappear while others appear.
In the Vertex Connection panel, you can also use the “Twist to the Right” or “Twist to the Left” buttons to conveniently rotate the selected fusion clockwise or counterclockwise. Clicking “Reset” will restore the vertices to their original state.
