How Revit Creates Mesh Components by Editing Materials

Adding Mesh Material in Revit:

1. Start by drawing a wall with a thickness of 5mm.

2. Select the material as “Default”. The default material parameters in Revit offer the most comprehensive settings.

3. Find suitable images online for your mesh texture, as demonstrated in the example below.

The resulting 3D effect appears as shown in the image:

Follow these steps to apply the mesh material:

4. Open the Material Browser dialog box and edit the selected material. The editing results are illustrated in the picture. Be sure to enable the options for Cutting and Concave-Convex, then adjust the sample size to 2000mm. You may also select the Coloring option and customize the mesh image’s color to your preference.

Change the color as needed to achieve the desired appearance.
