How to Adjust the Line Width of Mechanical and Electrical Pipelines in Revit Drawings

In professional drafting, pipelines usually require varying line widths to comply with specific standards. Setting the correct line width for exported pipelines in Revit is essential to meet these regulatory requirements.

1. First, configure the default line widths in Revit. To do this, go to the Management tab, select Other Settings, and then choose Line Weights. You can either use the default settings or customize them according to your needs.

2. Next, adjust other relevant settings related to exporting the mechanical and electrical pipeline plans. This involves configuring the pipeline systems and air duct systems within the Project Browser.

3. For example, to modify the pipeline system, locate and select the desired pipeline system in the Project Browser, then double-click it. This action will open a settings window, as shown below.

4. In the settings window, choose Graphic Overrides and click Edit. You will see three options: Line Width, Color, and Fill Pattern. Here, you can set the export line width for the pipeline by selecting the appropriate line width option. Once configured, the drawings will export with these customized line widths.
