How to Return to Revit with One Click in Navisworks for Model Modification
There are two methods to return to Revit from Navisworks for model modification:
Method 1: Select the model that needs modification, right-click to open the menu, and choose Return.
Method 2: Use the Return command located under Project Tools in the ribbon to perform the return operation.
However, please note that the following issue may occur:
After clicking the return command, the Revit icon on the taskbar may flash, but there is no visible change in Revit.
Solution:
When exporting NWC files, make sure to adjust the settings accordingly. Check the options such as Convert Elements and other relevant commands in the export settings before exporting and saving the file.
Important: Do not close Revit while working with Navisworks, as Revit needs to be open simultaneously for the return function to work properly.
Additional Notes:
- If you try to use the return function and the RVT file is not in its saved location, a dialog box will prompt you to browse and locate the RVT file.
- When loading a Revit file for the first time using the return function, Navisworks will create a 3D view based on the selected projection view mode.
- On subsequent uses of the return function, Navisworks will load the Revit file using the same projection view mode, unless you change the projection view mode within Navisworks.
