Question:
When using the Ceiling Grid tool (CEILINGGRIDDD) in AutoCAD Architecture and selecting a polyline as the grid boundary, an error message appears, preventing the polyline from being set as the boundary.
Solution:
To resolve this issue, you need to generate closed polylines using the Boundary command:
1. Type BOUNDARY in the command line.
2. Click the “Pick Point” button.
3. Select a point inside the area you want to define and press Enter.
Next, set the polylines as the ceiling grid boundary:
1. Go to the Common tab > Generate panel, and click on the Ceiling Keel tool.
Alternatively, type CEILINGGRIDDD in the command line.
2. Choose “Set Boundaries” by typing S when prompted.
3. Select the polyline you created in the previous step.
4. Select the ceiling grid, then specify the insertion point and rotation angle.
5. Finally, select and adjust the grid as needed.
