BIM Software Tip: An error window appears when opening Revit

Issue:

When attempting to open a Revit project, you may encounter the following error message:

“A fatal error occurred. The application will terminate.”

This issue often occurs because:

Recently modified elements within the Revit project might be corrupted or damaged.

Solution:

To resolve this, try repairing the file by using the verification option when opening the project.

Follow these steps:

• From the Revit menu, go to Open > Project.
• Enable the verification option (see image below).
• Select the project file you want to open.
• Click the Open button.
