BIM Software Tip: Summary of New MEP Features in Revit 2015 (Part 12)
Document: Annotation Settings
In version 15 of the software, the file location for annotation marks has been updated.
The software allows users to annotate and mark various civil engineering, mechanical, and electrical objects.
When applying graphic annotation marks to devices, an annotation mark dialog box appears. From this dialog, you can select the device type that corresponds to the object.
Once the marking is complete, the annotation mark displays the corresponding number.
The component list associated with these numbers is saved as a text (.txt) file, which can be configured and modified through the annotation command.
Version 15 supports a wider range of file paths and numbering methods for greater flexibility.
Afterward, you can use the View Legend Annotation Legend command to generate a list of annotations and place it within the drawing as a reference to explain the annotation marks.
