BIM Software Tip: How to Replace Dimensions in Revit

Question:

How to display equivalent value information using alternative default dimensions or annotations?

Answer:

In the drawing area, first select the annotation you want to edit.

Next, click directly on the dimension value or select the text label evenly.

In the annotation text dialog box, choose the option Replace with Text for the dimension value.

Enter the desired text to display in the text box.

Optionally, you can add text in the fields above and/or below the dimension value.

Finally, click OK to apply the changes.

Note: When using Replace with Text, the replacement text cannot begin with a number.
