BIM Software Tip: Resolving Revit System Family Line Graphics Issues

When drawing pipes and ducts in Revit, you might notice differently colored edges around them. For example, the pipeline shown below has a blue line width effect.

This issue is not caused by the filter settings. If you enable Visibility/Graphic Overrides (VV) and check the filter, you will see that the filter setting for EL is yellow, yet the blue line width effect still appears.

The root cause lies in the default settings for the pipe and duct systems within the template. To fix this, adjust the line color graphics for the corresponding system family. Once you clear the replacement color, the unwanted border colors will disappear.
