Revit Automatically Includes Window Area in Detailed Schedules

BIM Software Tip: How to Add Window Area to a Schedule in REVIT

To include the window area in your schedule table, follow these steps:

1. Go to the View menu, then select New > Schedule/Quantities.

2. In the New Schedule dialog box, choose Category and select Windows, then click OK.

3. In the Schedule Properties dialog box, navigate to the Fields tab. Select Height from the available fields and click Add. Repeat this for Width.

4. Click on Calculated Value. In the dialog box, enter Window Area as the name. Make sure that Formula is selected under the Type dropdown. In the formula box, type Height * Width. Finally, click OK to confirm.
