BIM Software Tip: How to Fix Revit Elevation Not Positioned at the Top of a Slope
Typically, slope elevations are indicated at either the top or the bottom (tail) of the slope, or the slope gradient itself is shown. However, sometimes the elevation marker appears in the middle of the slope, which can cause confusion.
This situation can be problematic. As illustrated in the image, the red arrows indicate the tail and head of the ramp. Normally, ramps are identified from top to tail.
Recently, I encountered an unusual slope in my project where there were no elevation markers at the top. Instead, the elevation was marked somewhere along the middle of the slope. After several attempts, I discovered a solution:
The key is that this type of ramp uses the floor slab’s ramp arrow for indication. The arrowhead and tail sit at two different elevation points, so the elevation displayed corresponds to the point where the ramp arrow changes elevation.
