How to Draw Pyramids in a Mass Using Revit
Due to Revit’s built-in model limitations, you cannot directly create certain shapes within the project environment. Specifically, when creating a mass element, you cannot generate it by simply selecting a point and a face.
Let’s begin by entering the internal building volume, as shown in the image below.
2. Draw a reference plane on the desired surface, as illustrated in the following figure. Set your drawing view by selecting this reference plane.
3. Next, draw a polygon centered on the reference plane. Please note that the edges of the polygon must be perpendicular to the reference plane you are working on.
4. Go to the “Create” tab and, within the Work Plane panel, select the appropriate command to proceed.
5. Select the previously defined work plane and navigate to the south facade.
6. Draw a triangle as shown in the figure. Ensure that the center of the triangle does not extend beyond the center of the polygon.
After completing the drawing, switch to the 3D view to observe the result, as displayed below.
8. Select both the polygon and the triangle, then click to create a solid form.
The final model will look like the one shown in the following figure.
