Creating a Simple Tactile Paving Model in Revit: A Step-by-Step Guide

How to Create a Simple Tactile Paving Model in Revit

1. Start by searching online for an image of tactile paving tiles. Note that the standard size for tactile paving tiles is 300mm × 300mm × 25mm.

2. In Revit, go to the Insert tab, then under the Link panel, select Stickers. Use the drop-down menu to create a new sticker by choosing the appropriate sticker type. Configure the settings as needed.

3. Once your new sticker is created, place it in your model. Before positioning it, adjust its width and height to 300mm × 300mm to match the dimensions of the tactile paving tile.

About the “Concave Convex Filling Pattern”:

This refers to a concave-convex filling pattern, which adds texture to the sticker’s surface. This texture appears on the top layer, overlaying any existing surface textures where the decal is applied.

For example, if you place a sticker on a brick wall, the wall’s texture will influence both the sticker itself and the concave-convex pattern you specify here, creating a more realistic appearance.
