BIM Software Tip: How to Import Revit Models into Lumion
(1) Use the Export to Lumion plugin to transfer your model, as demonstrated in Figure 1. Simply click on the Export to Lumion icon, configure the necessary settings, and then choose the destination folder for the exported model.
(2) Alternatively, export the model in FBX format by following these steps: Open the Revit Management tab and select Project Unit. In the dialog box, set the length unit to meters. Confirm your choice and close the dialog. Next, click on the application menu, choose Export, select the FBX format, and specify the save location.
(3) You can also export the model in DWG or DXF format using the same approach described above.
Note: When exporting models using any of these methods, ensure that the new model’s filename is in English, as Lumion does not support filenames in Chinese.
