BIM Software Tip: Converting Revit to PDF
Let’s explore two additional windows. First, click on the Properties panel located in the upper right corner of the window shown above to access the PDF format settings. It’s recommended to simply adjust the page size to your desired paper size and uncheck the option to send fonts. This is because Acrobat can read system fonts by default, and Revit also uses Windows system fonts.
Next, click the Settings button in the bottom right corner to open the print settings window. Here, you can make any necessary adjustments.
After configuring the print settings, use the Print Preview option to check the output. When you’re satisfied with the preview, click Print to proceed.
Once the PDF is generated, open it on a machine with Adobe Reader installed to print it directly.
Finally, to recap, the software I used for this process includes Adobe Acrobat 7.0 (Chinese version) and Adobe Reader 7.0 (Chinese version).
Unfortunately, I have not found a way to combine multiple drawings into a single PDF for printing. My current approach is to print each drawing individually and then merge them using Acrobat, but the overall efficiency appears to be similar.
