Mengbala Visible Zeqi Tent Hotel by Jieshi Architectural Planning and Design | BIM Architecture

BIM Architecture | Mengbala Visible Zeqi Tent Hotel/Jieshi Architectural Planning and Design

The Zeqi Tent Art Hotel is situated within the Mengbala Golf Resort in Menghai County, Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It lies adjacent to the Angchun Spa and golf course. The architect drew inspiration from the unique and dynamic creatures of Banna, transforming these into modern tent-style hotel structures. Nestled on the water’s edge, the hotel resembles a mystical creature hiding by the shore. Covering a total area of 1,300 square meters, the initial phase features 18 guest rooms, categorized into two distinctive types: “Water Reflecting Firefly” and “Snail in the Sky.”

Featured Hotel Restaurant: The “Colorful Rainforest” restaurant boasts a biomimetic design, evoking forms that resemble insects and dragons, adding an air of mystery. The 200-square-meter building houses the front desk, light dining options, and a bar. As evening falls, the restaurant transforms with electric lighting, turning into a lively bar. Beneath the tent, vibrant lights pulse, imbuing the structure with a dynamic, beating heartbeat.

Featured Room 1: “Water Reflecting Firefly”

This room is located beside the lake and spans 60 square meters. Its expansive floor-to-ceiling glass walls blur the line between indoors and outdoors, seamlessly connecting guests with nature. The space is enclosed by glass curtains and corrosion-resistant wood, ensuring ample natural light while maintaining bathroom privacy. At dawn, lights glow brightly beneath the tent, while above, flickering fluorescence mimics the gentle twinkle of countless summer fireflies.
