Industry Background

Historically, the 19th century was the era of bridge construction, the 20th century focused on urban high-rise development, and the 21st century is dedicated to the development and utilization of underground space. With limited urban construction space in developed countries and China, the demand for underground space, land, and resources is an inevitable trend in modern urban development.

The China (Shanghai) International Underground Space Exhibition, organized by Shanghai Zhongyi Exhibition Company and industry bodies, serves as a professional platform for the underground space industry domestically and internationally. It combines brand promotion, marketing, image display, and technical exchange, making it one of Asia’s most influential underground space exhibitions.
