The 49th WOC American Concrete World Expo took place successfully from January 17-19, 2023 at the Las Vegas Convention Center!
The WOC American Concrete World Expo attracted over 1,000 concrete and masonry exhibitors from around the globe, occupying more than 700,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor exhibition space. The event welcomed a large number of professional visitors throughout the exhibition.
Jackie James, Vice President of the Expo, stated, “As the global community continues to evolve in production, materials, and market trends, WOC American Concrete World Expo remains a key driver of growth for the concrete and masonry industry.” This year, we introduced a series of intentional initiatives advancing material innovation, trucking industry growth, and the ongoing positive impact on communities.

Engaging face-to-face with key decision-makers in the global concrete and masonry industry
Expand your influence and explore new markets!
The WOC American Concrete World Expo primarily showcased innovations in new concrete materials, such as AAC (Autoclaved Aerated Concrete). The expo also focused on the growing opportunities in truck transportation and recognized outstanding female business leaders through an all-women group.
WOC American Concrete World Expo continues to evolve into a global hub connecting buyers and sellers in the concrete masonry sector. It hosted the largest number of industry expert conferences in its history, fostering interactive communication and promoting industry growth.

WOC American Concrete World Expo Training Program

AAC Exhibition Hall
The AAC Exhibition Hall highlighted the trend of aerated materials, which are lighter than traditional concrete and reduce structural steel and cement costs by 20% to 27%. AAC offers numerous benefits, including insulation, waterproofing, insect resistance, and fire resistance.
Additionally, in 2023, WOC introduced its first-ever on-site work truck showcase. This interactive exhibit featured top-tier work trucks, presented by Modern Work Truck Solutions, demonstrating innovations in truck design and accessories. These advancements aim to enhance contractor safety and productivity, addressing the evolving demands of the truck transportation market.

Concrete Industry Management (CIM) Project
Kevin Thornton, Senior Vice President of Architecture at Informa Markets, emphasized, “WOC recognizes its unique role in promoting underutilized markets. Our priority is to offer educational opportunities for future professionals through accredited industry management courses, professional associations supporting labor equality and diversity, and sustainability initiatives.”
The CIM project hosted an on-site auction on January 18th to raise funds supporting a four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Concrete Industry Management. CIM has become a vital resource for talent development in the concrete industry, with programs offered at five universities strategically located for easy access.

The Impact of Women in the Construction and Concrete Industries
The Women in Concrete Professionals Association, a leading organization of female experts in the concrete field, hosted the first all-women panel to discuss industry trends, challenges, and successes. As of 2022, women represent 14% of the construction workforce—the highest level to date—with steady growth expected annually.
World of Concrete proudly highlights the influence of women in masonry and concrete industries, fostering discussions on ownership, management, and leadership while emphasizing resource provision for women in trades.

IPA Innovative Product Award Program
This year, WOC launched the IPA Innovation Product Award program, offering manufacturers and service providers the chance to showcase the most advanced industry solutions. Attendees at WOC and the WOC360 audience voted on the entries, with winners announced after the Expo on February 21st.
Importantly, as sustainability becomes a greater focus in concrete and masonry industries, WOC aims to cut carbon emissions by introducing renewable electricity by 2023. These efforts are projected to reduce 204 tons of CO₂, significantly lowering the industry’s carbon footprint. The plan includes solar panels sponsored by Sunbelt and renewable energy support from White Cap.
