The street where this house was built is only about two meters wide, with a very narrow access road leading to the site. This posed challenges for transporting building materials. Additionally, the neighboring houses create a sense of community along this small path. The architect envisioned the path as an extension of the Kohshien residence, integrating the house harmoniously into its surroundings.

The architect aimed to create a seamless circulation space, guiding movement from the streets to the narrow paths within the plot, and then into the house corridors. The design features a small path running through the center of the site, flanked by buildings on both sides. The eaves cover this passage, blending the boundary between exterior and interior spaces.

The first floor houses the living room, dining room, kitchen, and bathroom, while the bedroom is located on the second floor. Looking through the windows along this passageway woven into the residential area, residents can catch glimpses of their neighbors’ homes, fostering a strong sense of community and connection.
