Situated in a prime spot along the main pedestrian path to the Greenwich Peninsula, this market warmly welcomes both locals and tourists alike.

The market’s striking appearance is defined by its emphasis on transparency. The architect utilized a lightweight metal framework, covering the central spine with a taut, transparent ETFE film. Stalls and seating areas are arranged within this structure, making the transparent spine the heart of the market itself.

Booths are positioned on either side of the transparent spine’s floor, while seating areas are located above, nestled under a canopy of trees. The entire spine is constructed from semi-transparent backlit materials and ETFE film, serving as a large luminous fixture that lights up the market at night, becoming a neighborhood focal point.

The market features main access points at both ends, with entry also possible from both sides. The lower operable panels are made of durable polycarbonate to prevent damage. The ETFE membranes are divided into multiple panels, some designed for easy operation to facilitate ventilation, enhancing the authentic street market atmosphere.
