Renowned British singer Elton John, famously known as the “Rocket Man,” is currently on a world tour. During his recent performance in Canada, he spoke with local media and revealed that he has purchased the top-floor mansion called the “Treehouse” in King Toronto. This property, owned by the Westbank West Coast Group, is one of six residences he maintains worldwide for his family.

A Utopian Vision by Danish Architectural Genius Bjarke Ingels
The “Toronto No.1 Mansion” was designed from the inside out by the acclaimed architect Bjarke Ingels, inspired by the utopian concept of “Habitat 67.” From a distance, the building appears as a series of stacked mountain-like structures. It offers abundant natural light in every corner and intimate connections with nature via spacious terraces. This architectural marvel has become a new phenomenon and is poised to become an iconic landmark in Toronto’s urban landscape.

Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), founded by Danish architect Bjarke Ingels, has grown into an internationally renowned architectural firm. Known for employing pixel grid elements in their designs, BIG has masterfully integrated local red brick buildings and diverse vegetation in the “Toronto One Mansion,” creating a visual impression of four distinct “mountain peaks.”

An Urban Oasis Offering Beauty and Privacy
The skyline duplex mansion, known as the “Treehouse,” where Elton John and his family will reside, is nestled among lush greenery. Its staggered convex and concave glass bricks not only enhance panoramic views but also flood the interior with natural light. The mansion features custom details designed in collaboration with Jacques Ingalls and his family, including brass decorations, arched wine cellars, private tea rooms with en-suite bathrooms, and a two-story bespoke library.

The One Mansion in Toronto has been thoughtfully developed over the years, incorporating trees, plants, outdoor terraces, sustainable practices, and artistic aesthetics. It offers breathtaking panoramic city views, blending urban life with nature seamlessly. The use of glass bricks combined with lush greenery creates a natural greenhouse effect, ensuring privacy. At night, the mansion emits a soft glow, resembling a utopian city within the city, evoking a sense of comfort and mystery.
