May — The project name means “Cloud” and features two buildings with distinct architectural styles: a street café and a renovated part of a neoclassical wedding center. Given the limited budget and investors’ desire to retain some of the wedding center’s original structure, the front and neoclassical buildings were preserved. A new structure now connects the old and new sections.

Both parties shared a vision for the café to showcase Vietnamese architectural features while evoking a nostalgic northern aesthetic. To achieve this, bright red fish scale tiles and a curved roof system made of rusted steel were selected as key design elements. The antique charm is expressed not only through the temple-like curved roof and traditional fish scale tiles but also through the wide porch, red brick walls, pebble details, and a garden filled with familiar plants and floral scents. Simplicity was paramount, and unnecessary details were consciously avoided.

The main architectural highlight is a large, elevated porch that extends along the façade. Inside, a slim, lightweight wooden interior complements the sandblasted concrete floors beneath the curved roof. The garden and roof remain subtle, almost hidden surprises, only fully revealed when entering through the main porch or other parts of the original building.

Our goal has always been to create “vibrant architecture” that gracefully incorporates existing elements and seamlessly integrates with the natural flow of life. We prioritize revitalizing the space to become part of the whole without compromises, especially in relation to nature. The project is designed to be self-sufficient, operating efficiently with minimal resources and maintenance, while remaining user-friendly.

This architectural concept is applied flexibly yet deliberately throughout the project, using durable, climate-friendly materials. The connection between old and new is thoughtfully executed to preserve and enhance the flow of life without unnecessary or costly interventions.

A truly successful building must organically and vibrantly integrate with its surroundings, providing owners with energy to restore vitality and access to healthy natural elements. Buildings that isolate occupants from wind, sunlight, rain, birdsong, and rustling leaves prevent a full experience of life. We do not just build structures; our focus is on enhancing lives through thoughtful design.
