The Guoxin Securities Building, located in Shenzhen, China, stands 228 meters tall. Designed by Studio Fuksas, this project introduces an innovative concept of vertical public spaces. The three-dimensional spaces are arranged along the facade, creating a dynamic visual identity for the building and providing diverse public areas within the office environment.
The building’s distinctive gap shapes explore the relationship between the vertical podium sections and the main structure. Diagonal spaces and variations generate a vertical tension that emphasizes the overall height.
To highlight the concept of voids, the tower’s external glass enclosure is shaped into a clean and effective parallelepiped. Inside, the office spaces seamlessly integrate with open public areas located within the gaps. This contrast between solid building elements and voids creates dynamic tension, with each emphasizing the qualities of the other.
The interconnected public spaces—including the lobby and sky garden—flow through the atrium’s three-dimensional volume, forming streams of light, imagery, and activity. Symbolically, the building opens a grand lobby to the city, enhancing its urban presence.
The Guoxin Securities Building integrates clean external glass volumes within the Shenzhen Central Business District (CBD) complex. All design complexities are housed within the internal public space network. The project strategically positions these public areas along the front facade, leveraging the urban context, surrounding landscape, and visibility.
The upper floors serve as office spaces for Guosen Securities, with a three-story sky lobby marking the main entrance. The top floor houses administrative offices, an aerial garden, and club rooms, all offering a 360-degree panoramic view of Shenzhen’s CBD.
As Shenzhen’s first green high-rise, the Guoxin Securities Building holds strong recognition in the city skyline. Its atrium symbolizes the company’s commitment to sustainability and social engagement, supporting Guoxin Securities in advancing innovative ideas, pioneering financial services, and strengthening its global image.
