Project Background
Located in Yiwu, the heart of Zhejiang Province, this project benefits from a prime geographical position. Yiwu stands as one of Zhejiang’s four major regional central cities. The site is just 8 kilometers from downtown Yiwu, adjacent to both the Yiwu High-Speed Railway Station and the civil aviation airport, placing it strategically within the emerging high-speed railway new city.

The eastern border of the site faces Shangcheng Avenue, while the southern edge borders a clear distance road—both major city thoroughfares. The surrounding area boasts rich educational and tourist resources, yet commercial support remains limited. This project aims to establish a gateway to Yiwu High-Speed Railway New City by creating a comprehensive community that seamlessly integrates ecological residential spaces, vibrant urban commercial complexes, and lively neighborhoods.

Approaching the project from an urban perspective, the design focuses on human settlements and public buildings to deliver a comprehensive, convenient, and comfortable living experience for the new city, thereby enhancing the region’s core value.

Business Supporting Strategy
The Xinhong Yiwu Outlets Plaza, positioned on the eastern side of the plot, functions as a supporting commercial hub linked directly to the residential community to the west, fostering a cohesive gathering space. Utilizing a model of “Urban Reception Mall + Vibrant Neighborhood + Ecological Residential Community,” the shopping center integrates organically with distinctive street spaces, forming a high-end, comprehensive commercial operation system that effectively attracts diverse consumer groups.

The commercial district emphasizes family life and community interaction, offering diverse spatial layouts that create varied shopping experiences and invigorate neighborhood life.

The building facade primarily features silver-white perforated aluminum panels and dark gray metallic paint. Portions of the exterior incorporate alternating black and white stone. This combination of simple, elegant tones with rich detailing defines the facade’s distinctive character.

Demonstration Zone Design
Site Selection and Placement
The demonstration area is situated at the southwest corner of Commercial Lane, accessible from the main entrance on Jingju Road, ensuring excellent accessibility. Positioned between residential neighborhoods and commercial complexes, the site embodies the community concept of delivering diverse and convenient living experiences.

Massing Generation

① Basic volume
② Facade segmentation
③ Space optimization with emphasis on the entrance
④ Contrast with the surrounding landscape
Space Creation
The entrances to both the demonstration area and sales office employ spatial cutting techniques to evoke a three-dimensional feel. Architectural language highlights the entrance location, guiding visitors inward for an immersive, refined experience.

Rectangular block divisions create balanced proportions in the architectural form. The asymmetrical facade conveys the casual, comfortable nature of modern living, while proportional harmony maintains spatial tranquility. By eliminating excessive decoration, the architecture achieves a calm and light ambiance, with pure modern beauty shaped through its interaction with natural light.

Facade Materials
The demonstration area’s design continues the regional architectural style, utilizing perforated panels, aluminum panels, and glass materials. Clean, modern lines create a sleek and contemporary facade.

The white perforated aluminum panels overlap with high-transparency glass curtain walls, forming a two-story facade that breathes lightness and subtlety. Dark metal aluminum outlines enhance the building’s form, creating a dynamic contrast between solid and void. This thoughtful material combination adds refinement and delicacy to the facade design, reflecting meticulous craftsmanship in every detail.

Landscape Integration
The front area of the demonstration zone features water elements and green islands at the corners, avoiding complex decorations to visually extend the limited space.

A large reflective water pool complements the building, calming the surroundings with the gentle movement of water. Plants combined with water features and lighting systems create diverse artistic effects at night. The pure architectural facade reflects on the water surface, blending to form a serene sky-like realm amid the beautiful scenery of Taoyuan. A walkway seemingly floating on water offers a near two-dimensional plane, producing the sensation of walking on waves and delivering a pure spatial experience through simplicity.

The courtyard is designed to create a rhythmic transition and integration of landscapes, offering a rich visual experience that seamlessly blends walking and scenery, inviting endless contemplation.
Architectural geometry transforms progressively from inside to outside, from abstract to tangible, from rigid to flexible, delivering an immersive artistic environment. This space interprets modern urban life with a peaceful, comfortable, and diverse approach amidst the city’s hustle and bustle.
