This micro residence, designed and conceptualized by Marte Marte Architects, features a massive volume reminiscent of a small tower firmly rooted in the forest’s hollow ground. From the outside, it presents a closed, inward-facing form, resembling a stack of stones. Tall concrete walls create a protected and intimate living atmosphere inside, while low, rust-colored window frames encase the glass, framing various views of the natural surroundings.

The residence is a three-story square structure measuring 8m by 8m at the base. Its thick insulated concrete walls define a variety of room sizes on each floor, with spatial arrangements enhanced by deep, elongated openings. These narrow window incisions serve as natural frames, offering panoramic views of the surrounding forest, much like a series of living paintings.

The living spaces on all three floors are connected by a spiral staircase. On the entrance level, a small studio occupies the center, while the upper floor features three rooms that combine to form a unique living area. The top floor serves as a restful retreat, housing three bedrooms and a bathroom arranged around three deep, elongated window openings.

The exterior’s rough texture is formed by poured concrete layers, while the interior walls and ceilings are finished with smooth concrete. Steel-framed glass openings and fixing devices harmonize with the concrete materials. Each floor features solid wood finishes, and technological elements are kept to a minimum. The warm, candlelight-like glow from LED lights softly illuminates the interior, enhancing the inviting atmosphere.
