In today’s fast-paced world, alongside the shadows that follow us, anxiety often lingers. The busy city life stirs restlessness, driving people to seek a sanctuary for their souls and a path to inner peace. Our well-being begins with a single step, yet many face challenges and fatigue rooted in their energy and spirit. Health-preserving foot therapy promotes internal organ health, relaxes both body and mind, and helps concentrate the essence, qi, and spirit. True inner peace may only be achieved by embracing the concept of “Fan Qiu.”

△ Reception Hall
This project embraces the concept of a “time cave,” aiming to craft a natural and tranquil environment—a pure sanctuary within a spatial form. The space is designed as a vessel for individuals to discover inner freedom. Visitors entering this space are meant to feel comforted and relaxed, narrowing the gap between one another and unlocking the heart.
Brand Section
The brand’s overall impression merges nature with the mind and body, continuing the cave theme by introducing the “arc shape” as a unifying design language throughout the brand and space. Additionally, the “U” extracted from the name serves as a concise brand symbol, representing both pronunciation and form with strong clarity.

Cave

The space is designed to convey a calm and relaxed atmosphere. It features simple outlines and two complementary, independent blocks arranged vertically. The soft, curved shapes express the unity of these blocks, while careful material selection and placement emphasize their distinct characteristics.

Time

The lobby aims to create a comfortable and inviting space. The reception desk, crafted from cast-in-place concrete, resembles natural stone, adding an artistic touch. A circular pendant light gently sways, casting warm light that blends with the ambiance, evoking the feeling of sunlight and encouraging open, relaxed conversation.
Material and Form
The design draws inspiration from the natural curves of caves, featuring intertwined irregular curves that play with light and shadow. Volcanic rock is used to emphasize a natural aesthetic. The undulating walls have no fixed pattern, fostering a sense of freedom and openness.

△ Curve and Brick
The volcanic rock is cut into irregular long strips and laid horizontally with intentional gaps, creating black lines that extend along the curved walls.

In this information age filled with electronic devices, the inevitable setbacks and frustrations at work, and lives overwhelmed by trivial concerns, many long to escape the cold concrete jungle. We hope Shuran becomes a personal refuge—a “tree hole” where everyone can express and release life’s hardships, warm their hearts, and embrace life anew.
Functional Space
From the waiting area to the massage rooms, the design balances openness with privacy. Curved walls block natural light from entering, ensuring a peaceful, undisturbed atmosphere.

The indirect lighting in the public massage area evokes the soft ambiance of afternoon and dusk. Wooden sliding doors divide the space into two sections, each featuring comfortable massage chairs and warm yellow textured walls, offering a temporary escape from city life’s chaos.

This project represents an exploratory dialogue with traditional industries, pushing the boundaries of our thinking and the uniqueness of our expression.
