Viewpoint Tea Room is a unique commercial space located on Hanzhong Road in Qinhuai District, Nanjing, primarily focused on tea beverages. Situated near bustling commercial areas and universities, the design concept aims to evoke a “tea field” spatial experience while embracing the theme of “settlement” in its layout strategy.
The interior is thoughtfully arranged in a staggered manner to enhance openness and spatial interaction. Unlike typical tea shops that mainly focus on retail, this space offers a richer brand culture experience, highlighting the social functions embedded within the tea room.
Upon entering, visitors first pass through a courtyard defined by clear, vibrant landscaping. This space serves as a transitional buffer, setting an emotional tone and enriching the entry experience. Large, transparent floor-to-ceiling doors and windows seamlessly bring the outdoor scenery inside, while abundant natural light and airflow complement the solid feel of the concrete interiors.
The space prominently features precast concrete slabs, creating a clean and lively atmosphere. This is balanced with solid wood furniture and lush green plants, offering intimate public social spaces at the tea tables. The generous ceiling height divides the venue into two levels, with a transitional resting area between floors that maximizes space utilization and reinforces the feeling of “settlement” within the tea field-inspired environment.
Warm lighting complements the solid wood textures, while the exposed brick walls, open ceiling design, and concrete columns remain integral to the spatial composition, adding character and depth to each area.
Every corner of the space was meticulously crafted to maintain a balance between usability, openness, and aesthetic simplicity. The viewpoint tea room encourages visitors to explore various scenic zones within, fostering diverse experiences. Whether reading, enjoying tea, or socializing with friends, the space is designed to offer a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere.
