Submission Rules for BIM Competition Entries
What are the submission rules for BIM competition entries? This article outlines the essential guidelines and requirements for submitting your work to the BIM competition.
Enterprise Competition
The enterprise competition is open to submissions showcasing BIM technology applications on projects that are either completed or currently under construction by the participating enterprise.
Required materials include:
– Registration form
– Project BIM model
– Walkthrough animation
– BIM technology application promotion and display animation
– VR/AR displays
– PPT presentation covering project overview, company introduction, software and hardware used, BIM team structure, BIM value analysis, and experience summary
– Copies of BIM certificates for participating personnel (such as BIM Modeler and Senior Modeler certificates issued by the Chinese Society of Graphic Arts, or BIM Engineer, Project Manager, and Senior Engineer course certificates from the Talent Exchange Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology for the SY Building Information Modeling Talent Training Project targeting industry talent shortages).
Note: Other certificates are currently not accepted and certificates are optional.
Entries must focus on practical engineering applications, considering technical implementation plans and economic feasibility, and provide a comprehensive BIM-based technical implementation roadmap.
Submitted USB drives should be named following this format: Group + Direction + Enterprise Name + Work Name + Participants. For example: Construction Group+Transportation Infrastructure+China Railway First Group Co., Ltd.+Lanxin Railway BIM Technology Application+Zhang Rongfu, Li Xinkai.
Winning entries must comply with current national BIM technology standards.
There are no restrictions on the software used.
Participating teams must submit original work, ensuring honesty and integrity. Plagiarism or cheating will result in disqualification and revocation of awards and certificates.
Submissions should be sent via express mail on a USB flash drive.

Campus Competition
Submission materials include:
(1) Project PPT: Include project overview, team introduction, modeling process, and results. Use the naming convention: Campus Competition – University Name – Team Name (e.g., Campus Competition – Shijiazhuang Railway University – Lingyun Team).
(2) Project Model File: Submit the electronic model file with the same naming convention.
(3) Video: Compress video files without compromising clarity.
(4) Copies of BIM certificates for participants (same as those listed for the enterprise competition). Certificates are optional.
