The concept of ‘additional stirrups’ in constructing edge components seems to be a self-invented notion. Moreover, the image shows a diameter of 8 mm, while the table lists a diameter of 6 mm—this inconsistency is problematic.
Including the horizontal distribution reinforcement in the volumetric reinforcement ratio here is inappropriate. Instead, the design should use full-height hoops of Φ8 spaced at 150 mm (or 200 mm). There is no such thing as ‘additional reinforcement’ in this context.
