What Are the Application Requirements for BIM Engineers? Which Training Institutions Are Trustworthy?
Application Requirements:
1. All citizens of the People’s Republic of China must comply with national laws and regulations and uphold professional ethics. Eligible applicants include college students majoring in engineering, engineering economics, finance, management, computer science, and related fields, as well as professionals with vocational education or higher engaged in engineering project design, construction technology, and management. These individuals may apply to participate in the Building Information Modeling (BIM) professional skills examinations.
2. In addition to the basic requirements above, candidates for the BIM series of exams must meet one of the following:
(1) College students who have completed coursework in BIM-related theoretical knowledge and practical skills;
(2) Professionals involved in architectural design, construction technology, or project management who have mastered BIM theory and operational skills;
(3) Social professionals who have acquired BIM knowledge through self-study or formal training in BIM theory and practice.
Applicants fulfilling the above criteria with a college degree or higher are eligible to apply for the BIM Project Management exam, which is divided into two categories:
a. Those with at least 4 years of experience in construction technology and management must take four exam subjects: Introduction to BIM Technology, BIM Modeling Application Technology, BIM Application and Project Management, and BIM Application Case Analysis.
b. Those with a minimum of 6 years in construction technology and management, including at least 2 years working specifically with BIM technology, are required to take three exam subjects: Introduction to BIM Technology, BIM Application and Project Management, and BIM Application Case Analysis.
